Other proposals put forward by the PN MEP candidate include a better delivery of the party’s message, setting up of issue groups which are better structured among others. Borg proposed that such a commission would also be tasked with initiating discussions at a district level, in order to be more inclusive as a party. Some two hundred general council members have petitioned Partit Nazzjonalista and requested that a general council is held within a week and that a secret vote is taken on the following question: “After the results obtained by the PN in the European and local elections of 25 May 2019, should the party leader take political responsibility and resign? Yes/No”. The petition came from the party’s grassroots after the Party leader said several times he will not be taking his leadership to the test following the May defeat at the polls.READ: Updated: Delia expected to face vote of confidenceThe petition was presented to the PN last week.
