The midfielder has been a regular at Real Madrid since 2012 but no Croatian has ever won the Ballon d’Or.“Because we are a smaller country, he does get less attention than he deserves,” said Liverpool’s Lovren via BBC.“Modric would probably be getting more attention than he is right now if he was a German or Spanish player.
