18 Officials Imprisoned in Salé for Bribery and Drug Trafficking

Rabat – Eighteen people, including 14 security officers, have been placed under detention after a hearing by the investigating judge at Rabat’s Court of Appeal on July 19.Different members of the imprisoned were given various charges including “bribery for receiving and participating in money, concealing a wanted criminal, and participating in the transportation and exporting of drugs and revealing professional secrets.”Now in Salé’s prison, the imprisoned include people who formerly worked for the police, customs, and the civil service. Members of the National Brigade of Judiciary Police (BNPJ) had referred them to the crown prosecutor in Rabat.
