first_img1 Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane Zinedine Zidane resigned from his role as Real Madrid head coach following a row over David De Gea and Eden Hazard, according to The Sun.The legendary French footballer, who won three consecutive Champions League trophies in just two and a half years in charge at the Bernabeu, resigned last month after defeating Liverpool in the final of this season’s competition.And now the reasons behind his sudden exit are seemingly coming to light.It’s reported Zizou was in discussions with Real Madrid president Floretino Perez over the club’s summer transfer plans on the night before he quit.He told his boss he wanted to land Chelsea ace Eden Hazard to add an extra dimension to his forward line, but Perez is believed to have pushed for his long-term target David De Gea from Manchester United.Zidane, though, didn’t feel he needed the Spanish goalkeeper, confirming his faith in current No.1 Keylor Navas.And after a debate it is reported he told Perez: “I am done.
