He will be transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield.A male passenger in Farnerâ€™s vehicle was detained, but has not been arrested at this time.Farner allegedly entered Advance America Cash Advance, 325 N. Summit St., just prior to 3:30 p.m.Wearing a black stocking mask, a black shirt and knee-length camouflage shorts, and armed with a handgun, the suspect demanded cash from a store employee. He then left the business on foot.A description of a vehicle thought to be his was given to area law enforcement agencies. An astute Sumner County deputy recognized a vehicle matching that description and pulled it over.Currency, a stocking mask and the handgun were recovered during the traffic stop.Ark City Police are investigating the report of an armed robbery said to have occurred this afternoon.Officers were called to Advance America, a payday loan business, at 325 N. Summit, around 3:30 p.m. A white male suspect is said to have robbed the business at gunpoint.A white female suspect is also being sought. The two were said to have fled westbound on Spruce in a silver or white car, perhaps a Buick.Police were reviewing surveillance footage from cameras in the area in hopes of generating more information.
