first_img ITV secures three-year British racing broadcast deal August 5, 2020 Related Articles Submit Richard FitzGerald steps down as RMG CEO August 6, 2020 Share StumbleUpon Share BGC: Charities win big as bookies take beating in Britannia Stakes June 19, 2020 Irish TV viewers will enjoy up to 50 days of live racing action each year, after TV3 Group announced a new four-year partnership with Racecourse Media Group (RMG) from January 1, 2017.Starting with the New Year’s Day meeting from Cheltenham, TV3 and 3e will broadcast some of the biggest events in horse racing, including the Cheltenham Festival, Randox Health Aintree Grand National Festival, Investec Epsom Derby and Royal Ascot.The free-to-air channel will also broadcast the QIPCO Guineas Festival at Newmarket, Al Shaqab Lockinge Day at Newbury, Qatar Goodwood Festival, Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival at York and QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot.Niall Cogley, TV3 Group Director of Broadcasting, said: “TV3 is delighted to be working with this fantastic racing portfolio. Cheltenham and Aintree are hugely important milestones in the Irish sporting calendar every year, but this new agreement represents so much more as it spans some of the most important international racing fixtures in the world with a wonderful mix of Flat and National Hunt festivals.
